It sounds interesting and vaguely familiar.
I read a three-part series a looong time ago about a group of kids who were in a basement classroom and when they came up from class everyone in the world had disappeared. It ended up being some sort of thing with aliens. I don't remember the series very well, but this kind of reminds me of that.
I'm definitely going to try it out. It could be interesting!

yea I heard its like lord of the flies meets, uh I forget what else star wars? harry potter? Anyway you spin it, its animorphs style action (i assume, cause M was totally the bloody crazed action part of the duo haha) meets superpowers, meets apocaliptic law free society. Can't wait.

it doesnt cost extra does it? I think is just a couple bucks you gotta put down but that gets taken away from the price of the book so yea

The concept of Gone sounds interesting. It seems to share some similarities with the comic book Y - The Last Man, except in that all of the men in the world have died from some random disease except for one guy (and his pet monkey), and the Earth is ruled by women. The world is flipped into chaos economically, politically,... whatever. It's a mess. The future is uncertain, and the human race is pretty much headed towards extinction. It's very well worth the read if you're into comic books, so I suggest picking up a tradeback of the first volume sometime.
I'm interested in seeing how Gone will turn out though. I'm looking forward to it. It feels like a nice mix between Lord of the Flies' no law society and Remnants mutant characters, told in a modern day realistic setting.
