I only ever read the first book, and I read a really sketchy plot summary on wiki.

Does anyone know a site with ebooks or a detailed summary? cause wiki's kinda sucked.

I posted this summary a few months ago in another thread. Obviously, do NOT read it if you don't want the series spoiled.

Again, MAJOR REMNANTS SPOILERS AHEAD

Remnants begins in the year 2011, when teenager Jobs finds out that an asteroid will destroy Earth in five days, but he and his family have seats on the Mayflower. NASA plans to send the Mayflower, a revamped shuttle, into space with the eighty people aboard it in hibernation. The ship's computers will search for a safe landing site, and hopefully the human race will be able to continue. No one seriously expects it to work, but the Eighty gather at Cape Canaveral as wild riots break out across the globe.

Yago, the president's son, is one of the Eighty. He grew up surrounded by politics, so he immediately starts plotting to gain power over the Eighty. He hits on 2Face, a girl whose face was burnt in a fire, so that she'll be a loyal follower of Yago later, but 2Face blows off Yago.

The Mayflower is launched, but a conflict breaks out inside the ship and Tamara, a pregnant sergeant who would have remained on Earth, ends up in one of the berths. The Eighty go into hibernation, but the equipment malfunctions in Billy Weir's berth, and Billy remains awake while his body is frozen.

The ship lands centuries later, and 2Face, Jobs, and Mo'Steel help people wake up. Many of the Eighty have died in their berths. Tamara, however, has survived and given birth. The baby's eyes melt when he opens them for the first time. A doctor helps Tamara and cuts the umbilical cord, but Tamara lashes out and kills her.

After twenty or so Remnants have awakened, they go outside the ship into the bizarre environment. Violet figures out that the environment is a recreation of an old impressionist painting and Ansel Adams photographs. The Remnants get into a fight about whether or not to send Tamara away. 2Face stands up for her, so Yago forces 2Face to take responsibilty for anything Tamara does to them afterwards. Yago then starts sucking up to Wylson, a powerful business leader and friend of the president, and she takes up the position of leader.

A pack of aliens appears. They're red two-headed monsters riding floating boards. The Riders kill one of the Remnants and then leave.

Jobs and a few others return to the ship to help more people awaken, but they realize several people have gone missing. A boy named Kubrick and his father wake up, but Jobs and friends leave them in their berths when a conflict breaks out outside. A man's leg is being consumed by carnivorous worms, and Wylson and Yago force him to keep his distance in case the worms might spread. Violet wants to help the man, so she, Jobs, Mo'Steel and Mo'Steel's mom Olga go to him. Violet tries to amputate his leg but a worm jumps out and burrows into her finger. Mo'Steel cuts off her finger and they run away.

Yago and Wylson refuse to let Job's group rejoin them, since they all could have worms now. The Remnants break into two groups and run away from the worms and the Mayflower. As they run, a pack of aliens called the Blue Meanies burst threw the ground, revealing a patch of space. The Remnants realize they are onboard a massive alien ship. The ship is generating environments to accommodate the humans based on information from data disks aboard the Mayflower. The disks were meant to preserve fragments of human history, but soon the two groups of Remnants find themselves trapped inside Brueghel's Tower of Babel fleeing from both Riders and demons from the Hell of Bosch's painting, The Last Judgment.

Several of the Remnants have become mutated while in hibernation. Edward, Job's little brother, can blend into his surroundings. Billy seems to have a bunch of strange abilities. And Tamara is able to fend off the Riders using insane, impossible fighting skills. But when the Remnants ask Tamara to defend them a second time, Tamara tells them they must first provide food for her baby. Food in the form of human meat. The group debates this, but then Yago nominates 2Face as the victim and the group seizes her. Yago doesn't like mutants and freaks, and he considers 2Face to be one because of her face. 2Face quickly argues with Yago, and the two decide to instead hand over Wylson.

Meanwhile, Job's group encounters a Blue Meanie inside the tower. They are able to communicate with it through Billy. The Meanie tells them the ship is controlled by a supercomputer known as Mother, whom the Meanies worship. But the Shipwrights forced the Meanies off the ship. But the Shipwrights have since deserted Mother, and Mother is now distressed and deranged. The Meanies want to return to Mother, but first they must destroy the node generating the hostile human environments. The group finds the node in the tower and the Meanie dies destroying it.

The Tower of Babel vanishes, and the two groups of Remnants find themselves in a strange watery environment, which they realize is the default environment created for the Riders. The two groups now merge together, even though many of them now hate each other. They travel through this land and eventually reach a new region. It's a vast sea, and the Remnants manage to board the USS Constitution to sail across it. In a midst of a storm, they encounter a swarm of Blue Meanies and manage to make enemies out of them. The Meanies kill one of the Remnants, and Wylson, Mo'Steel, and Billy fall overboard.

Wylson drowns, but Billy and Mo escape through the ocean floor into the ship's basement. Their they meet up with Kubrick and his dad, Alexander. Kubrick had been seized by the ship's computers, which peeled away all his skin and replaced it with a transparent substance, preventing Kubrick from feeling anything. They find a strange chair in the basement. Alexander sits in it and goes insane. The others realize the chair is an interface with Mother, who had overloaded Alexander's mind. Since the USS Constitution is falling apart, Billy decides to confront Mother in an attempt to save the Remnants. Billy sits in the chair and tries to seize control of Mother. Meanwhile, the rest of the Remnants are thrown into a series of rapidly changing environments based on Billy's memories. Mother fights back, distorting the environments, sending in Riders and other monsters, and bringing to life Billy's worst fears.

Finally, Billy and Mother cease the fighting and try to forge a truce. The Remnants want control of the ship, and Mother wants to destroy the Blue Meanies. The Remnants don't know what to do, so Yago steps forward and makes a deal with Mother.

MAJOR REMNANTS SPOILERS

Mother rifles through Yago's memories and creates a new environment based on the contents of his mind. Yago finds himself in the Oval Office, and his face is plastered on the US flag. Yago tries to sit back and enjoy it, but Mother expects him to keep his end of the deal and kill the Meanies. When he doesn't, Mother takes advantage of Yago's claustrophobia and buries him alive until he agrees to help. Yago leads a pathetic army against the Meanies, but they kill Yago and continue to pursue the other Remnants.

Yago awakens in the chair in the basement. Mo'Steel, Billy, and Kubrick realize they need to crash Mother to interrupt the fight above. The take Yago out of the chair and replace him with Alexander, whose mind is incompatible with Mother. Mother is severely weakened, and she kills Alexander before he destroys her.

The Remnants regroup in the Rider world and decide they need to find the ship's bridge. The Blue Meanies are also headed for the bridge, and Mother's defense units are out in full force. Tamara, who is controlled by her Baby, goes to the Riders and enlists their help in the battle. The groups clash in the field surrounding the elevator to the bridge. The Baby consumes any dying Meanies in the process, growing in power and revealing itself to be a Shipwright. The Shipwright reaches the elevator, and Tamara follows it. The two are launched into the sky, but Jobs, Mo'Steel, Billy, and a girl named Tate pursue them.

They arrive in a massive chamber that branches out into a maze of rooms and corridors. The Shipwright heads for the bridge, but the Remnants try to stop him. The Shipwright takes control of Tamara, turning her into a superhuman fighter again, and sends her to kill Billy and the others. Billy takes control of Mo'Steel and uses him to counter Tamara's attacks while Billy wages battle against the Shipwright. They reach the bridge and find Mother. Mother has been lonely and she sympathizes with Billy who is also lonely because of his centuries of isolation. Mother joins Billy and kills the Shipwright. The group returns to the battle below, where Billy reveals his new power, wiping out the environment to stop the fighting.

The Remnants, Riders, and Meanies create a Big Compromise so they can live together in peace onboard Mother. Billy creates a utopia for the Remnants, while Jobs surveys the surrounding galaxy, looking for a new home. He notices Earth at the edge of the ship's surveying field. The image is Earth is unclear, but Jobs tells the other Remnants of his find. 2Face goes to tell Billy to head for Earth, while the others run into a strange woman named Amelia who tells them not to change the ship's course. Before they can pass this news on to Billy, 2Face coerces him and the ship enters a wormhole.

The Remnants have violated the terms of the Big Compromise, so they prepare to defend themselves from the aliens. Yago, however, goes and uses his mutation to create his own legion of loyal Meanies. A stranger named Charlie arrives in the Remnant's camp and they accept him with reservations. The Blue Meanies and Riders launch their attack shortly afterwards. In the midst of the panic, death, and confusion, Charlie reveals himself as an ally of Amelia and part of a three person group known as the Troika. Charlie makes a failed attempt to kill Billy before escaping.

The surviving Remnants retreat from their utopia to the Attic, the part of the ship around the bridge, as they wait out the rest of the journey to Earth. When they arrive, they find that the moon has crashed into Earth and the planet has stopped revolving. One side faces intense heat and radiation, while the other side consists of dark, frigid emptiness. In the middle is a narrow strip of wasteland, the Shadow Zone. Mother lands there and the Remnants search the environment, only to find that it is completely uninhabitable. The ground is covered in ash, and occasionally fiery plumes of gas erupt through the surface without warning.

Yago, knowing how desperate the Remnants are at this point, uses his Meanies to secretly observe Jobs as he attempt to plant a seed in the ash. Yago, meanwhile, slips off to make an alliance with the Troika, but when he returns Tate gives in to a strange new mutation. She attacks Yago, but the others rush to save him.

When the Remnants decide to leave Earth unless the find some sign of life within the next day, Yago places a tiny plant where the seed was, fooling everyone else Othello-style. 2Face bullies Billy into leaving the ship so they can see this sign of life with the other Remnants. Yago and Tate are left aboard Mother while the rest of the Remnants gather on the surface to present their finding to a few representatives of the Riders and Meanies. But as soon as they leave the ship, Yago seizes Mother and takes off, abandoning the Remnants and the aliens on the wasteland that is Earth. But below the planet's surface, a girl named Echo is watching them.

...And that is where I stopped writing, since I had only read up to book 11 by then. There are 14 books in all.

Wow.... if there are 14 in all then maybe I'm not doing so bad. I can't remember the number I last got to, but all this sounds familiar. I think I read one other book that comes after 11, but it might not have been 12.... I guess I'll need to see if I can find the end of this and finish it.

I bough them 1 week ago, and I'm waiting to receive them... I received only 3 yesterday...
I was planning about making the next ebooks, but :
- if they're in good condition, it'll break my heart if scanning damage them !
- I can't find #8, #10 and #14 not too expensive (shipping is really expensive for me, so I should find the books really cheap !) so I can't do this ebooks... for now...
You already read the 4 first books, Esplin ? You don't wanna buy the other ones ? sure ? wink

My library has them all.

But I don't have a scanner.

Any ideas?

EDIT: I take it back, my library is missing one of them: No Place Like Home. Other than that, we have them all.
