Big goof

So I just finished reading #7 (working my way through the series again after not reading them since the 90s), and noticed something I just couldn't believe.
In the Yeerk Pool, the Taxxon eats them as roaches, and they all demorph and burst out of its stomach to save themselves. (This is after the Ellimist talks to them).
There they are, standing in front of about thirty or forty human-Controllers, completely human.
And they just run for it and escape. The fact that all these Yeerks just saw them demorph into humans (and subsequently morph into battle animals) is never mentioned.
I dunno why, it just bothers me. It completely blows their cover but KA just ignores that.

if you were covered in goop, you might look like a crap monster! And who's going to pay attention to you if there's an Andalite right next to you! These were Yeerks, not humans. The Andalite immediately lessens the chance of them being noticed. Anyway the book says the Yeerks didn't know what to think of them...which is lame, I admit...

i always imagined it as kind of a yellowish-greenish kind of thing-not like snot, more like jell-o.
